Mali's captain at the 2015 Under-20 World Cup, he blocked nine shots against Germany in the quarter-final, one of them a penalty, and then saw his side through the shootout 4-3. Six Malian league titles and three Malian Cups with Stade Malien lead the list, with the Tanzanian title with Young Africans in 2022, a runners-up medal at the 2016 African Nations Championship after three clean sheets, and the Malian player of the year award in 2014-15.
