Iraq's 1984 Gulf Cup title stands at the head of 57 caps won between 1978 and 1986, with his goal against Saudi Arabia in that tournament and another against India at the 1978 Asian Games, eleven seasons at Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, and the Iraq job itself in 2009 and 2010.
