When the photographers at Råsunda could not see the Jules Rimet trophy on 29 June 1958, Bellini raised it above his head for them, and every winning captain since has copied the gesture. He captained Brazil to that first world title, collected a second winner's medal in 1962 without playing a minute in Chile, and finished with 51 caps and three Carioca titles at Vasco da Gama.
