He scored in both legs of the 1972 African Cup of Champions Clubs final, on 35 minutes in Conakry and 67 in Kampala, as Hafia beat Simba 7-4 to become the first Guinean club to win Africa. African Footballer of the Year in 1972, still Guinea's only winner, he added Champions Cups in 1975 and 1977 and went unbeaten through the 1976 Cup of Nations, where Guinea lost the title to Morocco by a single point.
