His corner in Munich on 26 May 1993 found Basile Boli's head and beat Milan, making Marseille the first French club to win the European Cup. African Footballer of the Year went to him three years running from 1991 to 1993, and he also won two French championships, the Nations Cup at 17 in 1982, and player of the tournament in 1992, when suspension kept him out of the final Ghana lost.
