That was the first Copa Libertadores won by an Ecuadorian club, and he added the 2009 Copa Sudamericana, Recopas in 2009 and 2010, three league titles with Barcelona SC, the award as South America's best goalkeeper, and 89 caps including the 2002 World Cup.
