Valderrama slid the pass, and in stoppage time against West Germany on 19 June 1990 Rincón rolled the ball between Bodo Illgner's legs for the 1-1 draw that took Colombia into the second round. He captained Corinthians to the first FIFA Club World Championship in 2000, won Brazilian league titles with Palmeiras in 1994 and Corinthians in 1998 and 1999, took two Colombian championships with América de Cali, and finished third at the Copa América in 1993 and 1995.
