Six of Zaire's goals on the road to the 1974 World Cup were his, two of them in the 3-0 defeat of Morocco that finally settled qualification. Kembo won the Africa Cup of Nations twice, in 1968 and again in 1974, lifted the African Cup of Champions Clubs with AS Vita Club in 1973, took six Zairean league titles, and played at the 1974 World Cup finals in West Germany.
